After 18 years of teaching high school history and 23 years of working as a hairstylist and makeup artist, we found ourselves at a point where we were stretched in every direction. Between demanding careers, raising our two children, navigating health challenges, life’s unexpected hurdles, and experiencing loss, we were in need of a change.

We realized we were no longer finding the same joy in our work and, through fatigue and exhaustion, we were slowly growing further apart as a couple. We knew we needed to find something that could bring creativity, connection, and enjoyment back into our lives—something we could share and experience together.

That search led us to a stained glass class. Learning the art of stained glass had always been something we wanted to explore, and we thought it might be the perfect hobby for us to enjoy together.

From our very first class, we discovered just how well we worked as a team. We both loved the challenge of learning something new, choosing colors, designing, problem-solving, and watching an idea come to life. What began as a simple hobby quickly became something much more meaningful.

Creating stained glass gave us a chance to slow down, reconnect, and enjoy the process of creating together. It became a creative outlet, a way to step away from the stress of everyday life, and something that brought a renewed sense of joy and accomplishment.

As we continued creating, we began asking ourselves, How can we share this with other people?

That question eventually became the beginning of G.F. Creations.

We combined the skills and experiences we have gained throughout our careers—teaching, creativity, color theory, visual design, and working with people—to create a unique, hands-on stained glass mobile class. Our goal is to make this beautiful and often overlooked art form approachable, fun, and accessible to everyone.

For us, G.F. Creations is about much more than stained glass. It represents a new chapter in our lives and something we built together. It is about stepping away from the everyday pressures of life, creating something with your own hands, sharing an experience with someone you care about, and rediscovering the simple joy of making something beautiful.

We are excited to share our love of this timeless art and create opportunities for others to experience the same creativity, connection, and enjoyment that brought us here.
